ISST ENLIGHT Workshops Committee

Tasks and responsibilities:  The task of this committee is to plan the ENLIGHT events that are currently organized in every odd numbered year. The committee is responsible for ensuring that all the detailed planning is properly done.  This includes overseeing the financial arrangements in consultation with the Treasurer, who does not necessarily have to be a member of this committee.  It also includes planning the workshop program.

The Training Coordinator should be part of this committee and be involved in the process of selecting the presenters. As the size of these ENLIGHT events has increased considerably it is important for the committee to develop a policy document with respect to how the workshop presenters will be selected and to update this as needed in light of ongoing experience.

If needed the committee can appoint a local organizing committee to attend to the fine details of the local planning.

The committee should meet online at least 4 times a year to review policy and as often as needed to attend to the detailed planning of the next ENLIGHT event.

Chair:  Susan Simpson

Members:  Travis Atkinson, Jeff Conway, Chris Hayes, Rita Younan.

It is recommended that no more than three members of the current Executive Board are on this committee.

Appointed by Executive Board.
