Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Special Interest Group

Moderated by

Katia Tenore, Olga Ines Luppino and Alessandra Mancini

The ISST Special Interest Group (SIG) on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a newborn group aimed at putting together Schema Therapy clinicians, who want to deepen the characteristics of OCD clients.  It is well know that treating OCD may be very challenging and we do think that Schema Therapy may give an important contribution in helping OCD clients.

We are particularly interested in understanding the case conceptualization, in terms of specific Modes, arising from specific early experiences, that seem to be recurrent in OCD clients’ childhood. We are interested also in the integration of the golden standard techniques from CBT within the broader framework of Schema Therapy, in particular within the experiential techniques.

Join us if you are an expert clinician on OCD, if you have some troubles in treating OCD or if you are just curious!

The meetings will be one hour long and will take place on Zoom online platform. You will be sent a link to log in to our meetings using your computer, IPads, smart phones or a telefon line.

The inaugural meeting was held in (Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome, Stockholm and Vienna) on October 06 at 6pm and the second meeting on December 1, 2021..

The next meetings for our group are scheduled for March 2nd, April 6th, May 4th, June 8th and July 6th 2022.

If you are interested in joining this group, please contact Katia Tenore, one of the SIG's co-chairs: EMAIL

Warmly,
