About
Dr. Muriel Lin is currently a full-time Associate Professor of Practice and Director of the MSoSci of Counseling Psychology at the Department of Counseling and Psychology in Hong Kong Shue Yan University. She also runs a small private practice seeing clients with various psychological and emotional disturbances. She provides both in-person and online counseling. She received her professional training and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in the U.S and has worked in various hospitals with clients from a wide spectrum of cultural backgrounds. She has also served as the Senior Clinical Psychologist at the largest psychiatric hospital in the Pan Pacific area, in Singapore where she obtained her very first Schema Therapy training before ISST was founded. She continued her further training from ISST in both 2018 and 2019. Dr. Lin specializes in CBT and has been practicing for 24 years. She started practicing Schema Therapy as soon as she received her initial training 13 years ago. Her clientele is mostly adults who are over 18 years old and couples as she also holds a Master's degree in MFT (Marriage and Family Therapy).
