This training is the follow-up training on the 4 day training Group Schema Therapy (E. Muste & O. This will allow you to conduct GST with a less intense level of supervision.

After the Advanced training GST you:

  1. Are skilled at managing the necessary safe and reliable frame of GST.
  2. Are able to do imagery rescripting in the group.
  3. Are able to conduct multiple patient mode role plays.
  4. Understand and be able to employ symbols and transitional objects that match the developmental levels of the group when in child modes and for reparenting.
  5. Are able to employ limit setting and empathic confrontation in groups.
  6. Are able to create opportunities in sessions for Happy child mode play.
  7. Help patients develop and strengthen their healthy adult mode.

Day one focuses on interventions to get through the Maladaptive Coping Modes: including the avoidant and overcompensating modes and mastery of group empathic confrontation interventions.

Day  two focuses on interventions for the Dysfunctional Parent modes and accessing the Healthy Adult mode.

Day three focuses on interventions to reach and heal the Child Schema Modes including group imagery rescripting, playful interventions and limited reparenting by child mode.
