2016 ISST Executive Board Election Results Announced!

Dear ISST members,

Thank you to everyone who has voted in the ISST election!  The results are summarized below.  Hearty congratulations are in order to all of the winners, who are indicated in red boldface type below.  

As per the election regulations, winning candidates have three days to confirm acceptance of the position as of this email.  The Election Committee will be reaching out to all of them alongside this posting.

Voting Process
 
As a full member of the ISST, your vote is very important. 25% of our members must vote for the election to be valid.   
 
Voting opens Friday, October 7, and will be available through October 21.   We will send out (via Ralph Rebske of Pure Vision Systems GmbH) specific voting instructions with log in instructions in a personal email to each member at the beginning of the voting period.  Voting takes place via a special function on the ISST website, established by our webmaster. Please check your spam folder on or about October 7 in case you do not receive the voting instructions email.  You may also email John Gasiewski or Erin Bulluss (cc:ed above) should you NOT receive this email or have difficulty logging on to the website to vote.

We, John Gasiewski and Erin Bulluss the current Election Committee nominated by the Board, are pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the 2016 ISST Board elections, and also the opening of the election process. 

All full members are eligible to offer nominations (of other full members). We encourage you to participate in this important process. You may send your nominations any time between now, September 6th, and September 27th.

To submit your nomination, read through the descriptions of each board position on the left, and then follow two steps:

1. Click on the form found by clicking: SUBMIT NOMINATION

2. After you have completed the form, email it to: EMAIL 

Please do not send your nomination to the LISTSERV! Keep in mind that ISST statutes forbid the use of the ISST listserv as a means to promote your nominee(s) or your own candidacy.

Please note: any nominee must be a certified ISST member and willing to run for the position. All full and honorary members are eligible to nominate candidates. All full and certified members can run for board positions. Please first be sure your nominee is certified, willing and able to accept a nomination for a board position! Nominations will be reviewed by the election committee in a confidential process.

All voting will take place electronically. On October 7th, you will receive log-in information by email to access the voting ballot on the website. And you will have time to cast your vote up to and including October 21st.

Executive board elections take place every two years. The board consists of the seven positions, listed below. Two members of the current board will be stepping down. Four members will run for re-election. One member will step down from his current position, but run for another.  Members of the current board are:

The Election Committee sends out a list in alphabetic order of the candidates to all members and calls for the election. The voting process will be described in detail in this communication.

30 September to 6 October

Candidates submit statements for view on the ISST website.

7October – 21 October

Voting Period

25 October on

Announcement of successful candidates after they confirm their willingness to serve – winning candidates have three days to consider if they will accept the position.

7 November on

Run-off elections if needed
